Acknowledging the pivotal role played by H.E. Yahya bin Said bin Abdullah Al Jabri, Chairman, Pak Oman Group in channeling Omani investments to Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan has conferred its top civil award Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam upon him. Besides, he has also been instrumental in developing and strengthening bilateral relationship between the two brotherly countries.

A ceremony was held in Muscat, Oman, in which Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam was conferred upon H.E. Yahya bin Said bin Abdullah Al Jabri by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman in March 2009.

Mr. Munawar Suleman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank receiving momento from Mr. Shaukat Tarin, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs and Statistics at the launching ceremony of Code of Conduct for Consumer Protection. The ceremony was organized by Pakistan Microfinance Network in Islamabad in January, 2009.

Mr. Ozair A. Hanafi made a presentation on ‘Propelling Growth through Micro savings’ at the First SME & Microfinance Conference, held at Karachi on 17th & 18th November, 2007. The presentation focused on role of microfinance to reduce ‘Generational Poverty’. The Conference was attended by all major players in the Financial Sectors in Pakistan, in addition to professional from different walks of life.

Pak Oman Microfinance Bank was inaugurated on May 21, 2006 at the Governor House, Karachi. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from Sultanate of Oman and Pakistan. President of Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf was the Chief Guest.
